L.A. Noire Asphalt Jungle Achievement
Description: Chase down and tackle a fleeing suspect on foot as an LAPD Detective.
How to Tackle in L.A. Noire
Making a tackle in L.A. Noire is pretty simple once you know how. In order to make a tackle, you have to be in a chase sequence; you can’t just tackle random pedestrians. Secondly, you have to be fast (that is, don’t get stuck on obstacles, etc.); if you are too far away, you won’t be able to make a tackle. Third, you have to be in a chase sequence that allows a tackle; not every chase allows one. If all of those conditions are satisfied, when you get close enough to the suspect, the game will tell you to tap A (on Xbox) to tackle. Keep holding your right trigger to keep running, and tap A as fast as you can. Phelps will sprint faster and make the tackle.
Getting the Achievement for your Tackle
In order to get the L.A. Noire Asphalt Jungle Achievement, you have to be a detective. If you tackle a suspect when you are not a detective (i.e. on the Patrol Desk), it won’t unlock the Achievement. If you are past the Patrol Desk, follow my steps above for how to tackle in L.A. Noire, and you will unlock the achievement.
